- 2 tablespoons minced onions or green onions (optional)
- 1 clove of garlic grated on a Microplane grater (optional)
- 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided.
- 1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour

1. Mix the ground turkey, uncooked rice, and 1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning in a bowl. Set aside.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the onion and garlic and saute until soft without browning, about 3 minutes (cook longer if you like).

7. Preheat your oven to 300° F and place the uncovered crock pot on a baking sheet.

9. When you remove the crock pot, the outer layer will be darker (use a fork to test if it is done to your liking). Sprinkle with remaining poultry seasoning and serve.
